Tall 1930's Queen Anne Cocktail/Drinks Cabinet
Introducing Gabriella ❤️
"Have nothing in your home which you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” – William Morris
Circa 1930's and raised high upon visually striking, heavily carved cabriole legs, this stunningly beautiful Queen Anne style flamed mahogany cocktail cabinet has been completely restored and sympathetically redesigned to simply enhance its inherent beauty.
Gabriella's outer frame and inside view have been tastefully transformed using a beautifully designed paper and finished in the colour Wellington from the Fusion mineral paint range. A shade perfectly balanced in green and black with subtle bronze undertones. To draw your eye a little closer, her dome shaped top carrying a carved pediment, her carved apron on all 3 sides and her acanthus leaves have all been finished using a gold gilding wax.
Her doors and drawers were striped and sanded and the timber dyed to minimize any red hues. All were then finished in a satin polyurethane varnish to pop the stunning flamed figure hidden in her grain.
Her upper section comprises of a mirrored interior, glass shelving and base, 2 under top wine glass racks, an internal light and a pull out slide for drink mixing and cocktail serving.
Her pair of lower confirming drawers open to reveal a felted base, painted dovetails and additional storage.
She almost seems like she belongs on a movie set to be seen and adored by many and what a statement piece she would make for any home. Keep in mind however, like all MD Serendipity Designs Gabriella is the only one of her kind in the world. There are no other quite like her, so grab her quick before she's gone!
Height 63"
