Mid Century Beautility Cocktail/Drinks Cabinet
Introducing Axl ❤️
Just when I think I've seen every kind of the stunning cabinets that Beautility had to offer, along comes this beaut by the renowned furniture maker Simon Sadovsky. And after a little further research, I came on this piece in all its glory with info attached, in Beautilitys 1962 furniture catalogue. (I'll include a photo).
Sitting upon its impressive base, every inch of this breathtaking sideboard/drinks cabinet has been carefully prepped and meticulously finished. Its walnut grain has been exposed and black and gold accents added in keeping with its deco feel.
Centered in the middle section, a drop down drawer which houses a mirrored backing, a glass shelf & base, a motion censored rechargeable light and a black and gold art deco stenciled design. Not only is this a statement in itself but it is as practical as it is beautiful and ideal for cocktail making and bottle storage.
To either side sits a pair of curved conforming drawers with cupboards beneath. Both of which boast plenty of extra storage. To tie the inside with the out and to complement the overall theme of the cabinet, the back wall and shelves in the cupboards have been painted coal black and their sides restored and varnished. The drawers have been revamped and lined with a black felt and all hardware has been polished and gold sprayed.
In their near 100 years of manufacturing furniture Beautility created some of the most stunningly glamorous and extraordinary cabinets and theirs are amongst my favourites to come across.
