Bespoke Vintage Ship Bar
Say hello to 'The Laurentic' ⚓
1950's, the decade that saw the true birth of rock and roll, led by figures such as Elvis Presley & Buddy Holly and the era of the iconic TV show I Love Lucy. Barbie and Kermit the frog made their debut and it was also in that decade that Mayo won their very final Sam Maguire Cup and no amount of knocking on the door has changed that yet!
The 1950s too was the decade in which this very cool vintage gem was manufactured. Formed as the bow of a boat, complete with portholes and anchor, this cruiser was sold through Barget of London, located across the pond.
Whimsical in design the Laurentic is as functional as it is creative with its multiple shelves for storage, display "deck" for your fanciest barware, and serving platform for those martini cocktails - shaken not stirred!
The torn padded vinyl and damaged golden trim have all being replaced and multi coloured remote lights added. An anchor was sourced for beneath the porthole and the remaining details carefully and lovingly restored.
The Laurentic, a rare find, is simply a fantastic example of pure fun in design and if your from around these parts - you'll know there really was only the one name that this wee ship could be called!
Height 41" (at top serving level)
Width 38.5"
Depth 29"
The Laurentic has experienced a pervious life and may show signs of minor imperfection which just adds to his character and charm 🌹
